Classic Pot Roast
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 3- to 3-1/2-lb. boneless pot roast
- 1 package Knorr Sauerbraten (Pot Roast) recipe mix
- 2-1/2 cups water
- 1 Tbsp. firmly packed dark brown sugar (optional)
Heat oil in a Dutch oven or large saucepot and brown roast. Stir in remaining ingredients: bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer covered 2-1/2 hours or until roast is fork-tender turning occasionally. Serve with steamed potatoes.
