So happy to find a gluten free mirin ... most of the mirin available, though fermented from rice, have alcohol added to it ... and I cannot confirm if that added alcohol is gluten-free!! Have already ordered more. I use this not just in Japanese cooking, but also in Chinese dishes ... the Chinese rice wine I used to use before contains other grains like wheat and sorghum. So I am very very happy to find this here.

I absolutely love this cooking wine and it's on my macrobiotic diet. It's hard to find in my area so buying it on iHerb.com saves me time and money.

Appreciate that this traditional koji brewed rice cooking wine has no added sugar or synthetic enzyme. Shoyu soy sauce and Mirin are the right and left hands of Japanese cuisine. A few shakes in dashi broth, soups, sauces, stir fries, dips, and dressings is ambrosial. A glaze for baked and grilled foods!
