Also known as 'Bai Mudan', White Peony is an organic, popular white tea.
Known as 'Bai Cha' in Chinese, white teas are made only from the newly sprouted 'buds' and young leaves of the tea plant. The leaf hair 'down' on these leaves provides a honey texture to the brew. The leaves are dried in direct sun with minimal or no oxidation. There are several grades of White Peony made and are distinguished by the age of the plants, season and quality of leaves.
Fujian Province, known as 'Min', is situated along China's southeastern coast. Fujian's mild, humid, subtropical and marine climate is especially conducive to tea cultivation. Fujian tea has a 1,600 year history. The earliest written record of tea production in Fujian is kept on a stone tablet at the 'Lian Hua Feng' (Lotus Peak) in Nan'an County.
Varietal & Technique
Original White teas are native to areas of China's Fujian province. In particular, Zhenghe and Fuding countries are recognized as traditional white tea making areas.
White Peony is made in early summer. The leaves during this time have distinct white hair that makes the brew texture smooth and refined.
Delicate, herbaceous, autumnal aroma with a very smooth, sweet, nutty flavor. Very low in caffeine content.

Practicing the art on a daily basis in our teahouses in Portland, Oregon, we are a group of tea enthusiasts from different backgrounds and cultures. We travel, learn, take delight and seek to offer pure leaf teas with great flavor, artistry and soul. Our reward comes through actions that help people's lives, sustain the art of tea and promise a healthy environment.
Brew two teaspoons of leaf in eight ounces of pure spring water at 175F for four minutes. Provides at least two infusions.

就价格来论，这款茶价格偏高。现在白茶的价格还是很平易近人的。这个价格，都可以买老白茶了。 就茶叶品质而言，相当差。这茶放在北京马连道，基本卖不出去，除了外行和要送礼的人，没人会买的。 香气、口感都不怎么样，也不耐泡。 我宁愿喝农药残留超标的大陆茶，也不愿意喝这健康有机的外销茶。 人这一辈子，这也不能喝，那也不能吃，那么就算活一百岁又有什么意义呢？
